About us

Liber astronomiae antiquus is a bookshop specialising in antique astronomy books.

We specialise in first and second edition books by scientists from the 16th to the 20th century.

For the past twenty-five years we have been dedicated to the promotion and teaching of astronomy, while also building an important collection of books by great astronomers, philosophers, engineers and science communicators, such as Galileo, Fontenelle, Kepler, Clavius, Descartes, Flammarion, Laplace, etc.

Liber astronomiae antiquus is located in Catalonia, in southern Europe. We do not have an open shop, but we welcome anyone who requests an appointment.

We publish our catalogue on our website, and we are constantly adding new material to our bibliographic collection.
