First French edition and especially first edition of the important tables on the motion of the moon calculated by Flamsteed and the additions of Le Monnier. The work is embellished with 2 zodiacal maps. The book was basically a translation of Introductio ad veram astronomiuam by John Keill (London: 1721) but with important additions and with new tables of the sun and moon. The book [was] the first important general manual of astronomy in France.
