Internally clean and sharp. John Keill (1671-1721), Scottish mathematician and astronomer. A student of David Gregory in Edinburgh and a leading champion of Newtonian mechanics, Keill stubbornly argued that Leibniz had plagiarised Newton's discovery of calculus.
